Bridgetown CRC: Connecting, Supporting and Strengthening Our Community
At the Bridgetown Community Resource Centre (CRC), every interaction matters. Whether helping someone access important government information, supporting a job seeker, providing technical assistance, or creating opportunities for people to connect and learn, the CRC continues to play a vital role in supporting the Bridgetown-Greenbushes community.
Over the January to June period, the CRC recorded hundreds of interactions across a diverse range of services, demonstrating the ongoing value of a locally accessible community hub.
Supporting Everyday Community Needs
One of the most sought-after services continues to be access to Government and Community Information, with 291 enquiries were handled, helping community members find answers, services and support when they needed it most.
Our technology and administrative services remain essential. Community members accessed:
664 printing and photocopying services
270 computer use sessions
129 scan and fax services
19 laminating and binding jobs
107 tech help and guidance appointments
These services ensure local residents can stay connected, complete important paperwork, access online services and build confidence in using digital technology.
Helping People Find Work
Supporting employment remains a focus for the CRC.
During the reporting period, staff provided 12 one-on-one resume and job application support sessions, helping local job seekers prepare professional applications and improve their employment prospects.
The CRC's Local Jobs Board also continued to connect employers and job seekers, resulting in 143 visitors checking for jobs.
Building Digital Skills and Confidence
Digital inclusion is more important than ever, particularly in regional communities.
The CRC delivered:

25 Silver Surfers mornings
These programs help community members build confidence using computers, smartphones, email, online services and social media while reducing digital isolation.
Supporting Community Groups and Volunteers
Community groups are the backbone of regional towns, and the CRC continues to provide spaces and support for local organisations.
Highlights included:
34 uses of our meeting room from Non-Profit Committee Meetings
Ongoing support for the Volunteer Project, helping strengthen local volunteering networks.
Continued delivery of the Justice of the Peace Project, supporting residents with document witnessing and certification services, witnessing a whopping 452 Documents

Supporting Local Business and Economic Development
The Bridgetown CRC remains a valuable resource for local businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Centre recorded an impressive 344 days of commercial room hire bookings, demonstrating strong demand for accessible meeting and training spaces.
A range of local initiative and economic development projects also continued throughout the reporting period, contributing to community prosperity and business growth opportunities.

The numbers tell an important story. Behind every enquiry, workshop participant, room booking and community project is a person seeking support, connection, information or opportunity.
With more than 2,000 service interactions recorded in just the first six months of 2026 the Bridgetown CRC continues to be a trusted community hub where people come together to learn, connect and thrive.
